The Joint Crisis Committee(JCC) is a unique simulation within the framework of the United Nations, designed to address complex international issues through intense diplomatic negotiations and strategic decision-making. This RNPSMUN 2024 we bring to you a Historic Joint Crisis Committee on the agenda “ Revolt of 1857: The First War of Independence” A series of certain events changed the course of Indian history. The revolt of 1857 was more than just military engagements encompassing various political sectors. It was to fight for cultural expressions and socio-economic upheavals. It set into motion events culminating in the formal end of the East India Company's rule and the commencement of direct Crown rule over India. Was this move strategically planned by the British? Could the Indians have taken a different course of action? FREEZE DATE: April 2, 1857
But most importantly, can the committees decide what is truly the best decision that could have been taken by either sides of the coin?
